ALUTECH visits the 1st Harzer Snow Downhill am Schulenberg

On March 4th 2006 about 80 resilient cold weather downhill pilots traveled to the "Schulenberg" peak in Germany's lovely Harz mountains south of Hannover. Alutech teamrider and local Thomas Eichner laboured day and night to prepare the track for the riders to test the snowcapabilities of their bikes.

As we had invested in some new tents for this season the Alutech booth radiated in brilliant color contrast to the bright white of the fresh snow. The view of the track gave a first brief impression of what was comming up - who's idea was that agin?

Under the careful eyes of the freezing bike people "die Kuh" sets the pace as the days trail-oldie. Freaking out many young and ambitous rookies realize that the time set turned out to be hard to beat after all.

Of course the ancient fued between Nicolai (represented by special operations Manager Falco Mille) and Alutech was fought out hard on track in a special race. By means of pre race tire warming and an unregulary seat position on the bike Nicolai managed to sneak victory - but the remach won't be that easy for them!

We are all looking forward to next years event!
